In 2024, I joined my friends Bradley Klem and John Domenico during a month-long residency. I was deeply immersed in the La Serra studio and the collective community, refocusing on my sculpture practice while exploring new forms and ideas inspired by my surroundings. My passion for creative production and professional development aligned perfectly with La Serra’s mission of supporting the arts community through collaboration and artistic exploration.

I have continued developing abstract and biomorphic ceramic sculptures throughout my residency, blending influences from diverse experiences across multiple environments and landscapes. The pieces, which join the realms of figuration and abstraction, were a part of the firing of the collective’s Anagama kiln—an exciting culmination of my time with them.

Works were produced in 2024 and stayed behind for inclusion in future firings. In the works are returns to Denver, where I can participated in the programming and residency programs in years to come.
